Forza Ristorante, located at 3171 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport, serves an array of authentic Italian and Mediterranean dishes. The eatery was opened by chef Eric Sierra, who started his first restaurant in Westport in 1994 called “Le Bistro des Amis.”

Sierra is also known for his role as the original owner of El Palio in Shelton. He also opened Rive Bistro on River Side Avenue in Westport five years ago.

Forza is different from Sierra’s past eateries in that it specializes in a unique blend of Italian and Mediterranean fares.

“Forza is an Italian restaurant; the menu was designed with a mixture of classic Italian dishes and Mediterranean cuisine,” owner Patrick Jean told Daily Voice.

Forza had its soft opening with a limited menu on Friday, May 31, but the grand opening is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12 at 11:30 a.m.

On the eatery’s full menu, you’ll find classic Italian appetizers like charcuterie for two, goat cheese crostinis, mussels, risotto croquettes, fresh salads and more.

Entrees include hearty pasta dishes like mushroom fettuccine, seafood risotto, four-cheese tortellini, gnocchi dishes and more. There are also plenty of traditional Italian and Mediterranean meals like chicken parmigiana, roasted chicken, bronzino, steak frites and more.

Similar to its menu, Forza Ristorante’s atmosphere is welcoming and unique:

“Our decor is warm and modern with a black acoustic sealing,” said Jean. “The walls are gray with vintage Monaco race posters from the 60s, and the dining room has a cream-colored banquette matching the interior of a Ferrari leather seat.”

Forza Ristorante’s dining room and bar can accommodate 72 people with an additional 40 seats in the outdoor patio area, making it ideal for special events and occasions.

Forza Ristorante hosts happy hours Tuesday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The dining room is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, visit the restaurant’s website and Yelp page and follow its social media pages on Facebook and Instagram.
